About Us

The Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA) was established in 2007 and provides:

- one of the world's only independently-accredited ‘crime scene to court' forensic services;

- ICT support for 1,300 applications, 12,000 PCs and laptops and 21,000 handheld radios across 250 sites;

- vital police information and intelligence systems to over 50 agencies throughout the UK, and;

- national training to over 8,000 police officers every year through the award-winning Scottish Police College.

In addition, we maintain the specialist frontline officers and intelligence staff for the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA). Together, we have over 1,600 staff supported by an overall budget of over £100 million.
