SPSA Publish Annual Report and Accounts 2008-2009

The Board of the SPSA today present the Annual Report and Accounts for the organisation's second year of operation, 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009.

From its establishment on 1st April 2007, SPSA has been determined to make a positive difference to the provision of support services to Scottish police forces and the criminal justice community as a whole.  

2008-09 saw SPSA provide its customers with:-

  • one of the world's only ‘crime scene to court' forensic services, supporting both the investigation and prosecution of crime;
  • ICT support for over 17,000 PCs and laptops across 250 sites;
  • vital information and intelligence systems to over 50 agencies throughout the UK, and;
  • national training to over 8,000 police officers at the Scottish Police College.
