Flexible Working

These days we all have so many demands on our time that it can be impossible to fit everything in with our normal working lives.

That is why many of our positions offer the opportunity for flexible working. We recognise that our people are our most valuable asset and we understand that the ability to maintain a healthy work/life balance can bring positive benefits for both employers and for employees.

It provides the opportunity to do everything from submitting an application for part-time working, job share arrangements and compressed hours to taking an unpaid career break after you have been with us for at least two years.  All applications will be considered and final decisions will be based upon a balance of the business needs of the service and the circumstances of the individual.

We also have a flex-time scheme in place for non-shift working support employees, which allows our people to vary their actual working hours outside certain core times each day.  This means that start and finish times can be varied to suit domestic responsibilities, travel arrangements or work reasons and provides our people with greater control of their working lives.
