Procurement and contracts

The procurement and contracts function is responsible for the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, procedures and systems to meet business needs and legislative and other guideline requirements. They also develop appropriate measurement, monitoring and feedback procedures to monitor the effectiveness of procurement activities.  

This involves establishing and maintaining a system for the development and issue of tender documents, evaluation and negotiation of tenders and placement of contracts along with ensuring that the procurement system supports budget requirements.
